In 2001 an unoccupied property at the ex-Arbed site at Gentbrugge was achieved and in 2002 a thorough renovation was started where the premises were transformed into the contempory offices and workshops with a huge incidence of light and a pleasant spatial feeling. End 2004 the Trevi personel moved into the new building.

The building was completely renovated with durable materials and with attention for energy prestations. For this super insulating glass was used and walls and roof covering were insulated where possible.
For the central heating system a condensation boiler with underfloor heating and radiators for precision control was chosen. In every room temperature is measured and adjusted. The building is cooled by ventilation at night and by using the underfloor heating circuit. For this a heat exchanger is foreseen which uses the stored cool rainwater.
Lighting is executed with high performance lamps and automatic steering with light measurement. Every desk is equipped with individual lights.
All toilets are flushed with rainwater, through this tapwater use is uncommonly low.
As a consequences of all these measures use of energy and power in the Trevi building is only a third of the average use in offices and workshops. The photovoltaic solar panels on the roof provides for a large part of the electrical supply. More information about this can be found on the energy page.
